TapWhether you want to become the next Fred & Ginger or Gene Kelly or just want to learn how to move those tapping feet, within this class you will learn the basic steps to get you started. This class is extremely enjoyable and once you have those tapping shoes on you will be dancing away with the rhythm of your feet. This is a beginner tap class starting from age 4+ and within the class you will be taught the basic steps of tap such as the shuffle, shuffle ball change, toe drops, stomps and steps, paradiddles, three way riffs, the flap and buffalos. Once the basic steps have been grasped they are combined into a dance sequence which becomes more challenging as new steps are added. Stage shows are held for the young dancers to show off their tapping skills and through a choreographed dance they can make music with their feet!
Exam levels for tap start from level 1-Advanced and ages begin from 4 years. Uniform Suitable dancewear that doesn’t cover the shoes such as leggings or ankle length trousers. Black Tap shoes with both heel and toe taps.
