Zara Stewart
Zara was introduced to dance at a young age and started her training as a pupil of Dance Steps Academy based in Letchworth Garden City. During her time with the dance school she took several ISTD dance examinations in Ballet, tap and modern.
In 2007, Zara continued her dance training by studying for a Btec National Diploma in Dance at The North Hertfordshire College. Within her studies she gained experience in Jazz, Classical Ballet, Tap and Contemporary to a professional standard. Zara left North Hertfordshire College with Distinction, Merit, Merit grades.
In 2009, she went on to study a BA (hons) degree in Dance and Aerial Performance at Edge Hill University and graduated in July 2012. Whilst studying for her degree Zara gained experience in performing, choreography and taught in various primary schools across Lancashire. She had 3 years of full time professional training in contemporary, jazz, capoeira and ballet. A professional aerial theatre company was introduced to the course and auditioned pupils to study Aerial dance within their degree. Zara took this opportunity to explore a different dance technique and add something different to her experience.
Whilst at University, Zara extended her training by attending further dance and fitness classes’ as well as teaching dance in schools and summer camps.
